Funds could be used for second mortgages, <br />property acquisition or renovation, public improvements, or community service <br />activities. <br />Anticipated Beneficiaries: 2 families earning less than 70% median income <br />Accomplishments: 2 standard dwelling units <br />Anticipated Completion Date: December 31, 2001 <br />$50,000 <br />Funds would be allocated to the Orange County Literacy Council to expand its computer <br />literacy program to all interested public housing residents. The funds would be used to <br />purchase computer equipment and educational software and administrative support for on- <br />site instruction. Funds would also be allocated to the Chapel Hill-Carrboro YMCA to <br />continue operation of the After School Day Programs held at the Pine Knolls and South <br />Estes Drive Community Centers. Funds would be used to assist with operating expenses <br />for the program. <br />This project is located in communities which are areas of both low/moderate and minority <br />concentration.
