~~~~'y ~ ` <br />ORANGE COUNTY <br />A PROCLAMATION <br />FOR <br />INFORMATION AND REFERRAL AWARENESS WEEK <br />WHEREAS, information and referral agencies work to affirm the dignity, self-worth and <br />independence of individuals by facilitating their decisions and actions, tapping their <br />experiences, skill and knowledge, and enabling their continued contribution to the <br />community; and <br />WHEREAS, information and referral agencies function as a point of entry, helping <br />individuals to help themselves and each other, and offering service or access to <br />community services as needed; and <br />WHEREAS, special recognition should be given to information and referral agencies and <br />their role in serving individuals throughout Orange County; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Orange County Board of Commissioners do hereby proclaim <br />May 9-15, 1999 "Information and Referral Awareness Week" in Orange County, and <br />commend this observance to our citizens. <br />~i~-~-~- 1/L~ . <br />Alice M.
