Construction of an additional recvcling site at the Southern Village Development. <br />There is currently no recycling site in the southern part of Carrboro/Chapel Hill. This site would serve not only the <br />residents of the Southern Village development and southern Orange County, but. also act a replacement site for the <br />site lost from Culbreth Middle School. Costs include: <br />• Site design and development: $45,000; <br />• Dumpsters for cardboazd and mixed paper collection (10 @$650): $6,500; <br />• Rolloffcontainers for newspapers, magazine, container collection 3 @$5,000: $15,000; <br />• Collection costs are only a marginal addition to in-house personnel, equipment and operations costs at $5,600 for <br />hauling containers, cazdboard and mixed paper.
