She is the teacher -in- charge in the absence of <br />Glenwood administrators and a representative on the SGC and also serves as a <br />mentor for non tenured teachers. <br />Ms. Kennedy, 4th grade A.G. teacher, was selected as teacher of the year <br />twice while teaching the self - contained gifted students from 5 school districts in the <br />Winston - Salem /Forsyth County Schools. She taught for 12 years with the Dept. of <br />Defense Dependents' Schools in Turkey, Japan, Germany and England and for seven <br />of those years was an enrichment specialist and teacher of the academically gifted. <br />
