John Smith, Jr. was appointed as Orange County Tax Assessor in August 1996 to <br />complete the unexpired term of Kermit Lloyd. He was reappointed for the two yeaz period of July <br />1, 1997 -June 30, 1999. Orange County's practice has been to make appointments to the office of <br />Tax Assessor for two year terms. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Boazd reappoint John Smith, Jr. <br />as Orange County Tax Assessor for a period of two yeazs, effective July 1, 1999. <br />
