It began on January 4. <br />As part of the reorganization to establish the ERCD, the Manager reassigned David <br />Stancil, Planner II in the Planning Department and his position, to assume responsibility as <br />Environment and Resource Conservation Director. As outlined in the ERCD proposal, this <br />was done with the understanding that, within six months of establishing the new <br />department: <br />^ ERCD Director Stancil would develop an updated position description reflecting his <br />new duties and responsibilities as Environment and Resource Conservation Director <br />and <br />^ Personnel would conduct a classification study of this existing position and propose a <br />class title and salary grade to reflect the new duties and responsibilities. <br />In May the Director developed the new position description reflecting these duties. <br />The Environment and Resource Conservation Director reports to the County Manager and <br />
