• OCS provides a detailed listing of items requested and approved in the recurring capital <br />budget (pages 4 -1 through 4 -10). It would be helpful to have similar background information <br />from CHCCS. <br />• Appendix A for OCS provides a great chart of personnel requests - it would be helpful to <br />have that info in a similar format from CHCCS. <br />• It would be important for OCS to prepare summaries similar to the ones that CHCCS <br />provides on pages 2 -1 through 2 -22. <br />We will include your responses that you provide by noon Thursday, June 3, in materials we <br />distribute to the Board of Commissioners that evening. We will pass along other information as <br />you are able to provide it. <br />"Blue Sheets" <br />Another mechanism we have used in recent years to present school budget information in a <br />common format is the " "blue sheets ". Donna Dean is preparing those now for planned <br />distribution to the Board of Commissioners, also on Thursday. We would prefer to have your <br />Finance Officers review the draft blue sheets with Donna before they go to the Board , if that is <br />possible, to ensure that we have fairly and accurately summarized the schools' funding requests <br />as submitted. I would ask that you alert Sandra and Kim to expect contact from Donna sometime <br />tomorrow regarding the draft blue sheets, with the hope that they will have time to confirm. <br />Donna's summarization before we have to "go to press ". <br />School Salary Supplements <br />The Board has requested information for the Commissioners on the local salary supplements <br />provided by the schools. The request is for the 1) the amount of the local supplements provided <br />by category and 2) the average dollar amount represented by the supplement for each category. <br />1. Local Supplement Amounts <br />Orange County Personnel Director Elaine' Holmes has developed the attached draft chart that <br />shows the information that we currently have as to the local supplements each school system <br />provides. Please review this and advise us if it is correct and complete. If change is needed, <br />please note the specific changes and return it to us. <br />Ma <br />
