I realize that presents some challenges, as both systems have different points <br />of emphasis' and need to present information that their respective Boards find germane to their <br />budget development. processes. <br />We appreciate your efforts thus far in providing budget data for the Board of. Commissioners' <br />consideration, but we think it is important that you prepare additional information as noted <br />below. Some of this may involve just taking data that is elsewhere in your budget document and <br />reformatting it to have an identical "look and feel" as that presented by the other school system. <br />This information. will enhance the Commissioners' ability to compare the requests of the two <br />school systems for 1999 -2000 current expense funding. <br />• The information provided by OCS on pages 3 -4 through 3 -7 (Changes in Local Fund <br />Budget) provides useful detail. It would be helpful for CHCCS to expand the information <br />provided on pages 2 -7 through 2 -8, to provide a similar level of detail for all listed items (for <br />example, greater detail about the PREP Academies program (such as number of teachers, <br />general structure, other elements of cost), rather than just "lump sums" for certain initiatives). <br />
