Refers to OWASA's existing 59 -acre Quarry Resembir site located east of Bethel-Hickory Grove Church Road. Much of the OWASA property downstream of the Cane Creek Dam is located In the apron of the dam's emergency spillway. The remainder of this site Is constrained by steep )graphy and/or proximity to access roadways and the raw water pumping station. Because a portion of the existing Cane Creek recreation area slopes toward the reservoir (inside the watershed) and the remainder slopes away (outside the watershed), the h, 3ntial water quality impacts of altemative uses/activides would depend on their specific location. "' A narrow 3 -acre strip of the Meadowcrest property is located within the watershed but outside the 1!2 mile Critical Area. There appears to be little or no opportunity for rnative use of this site.
