26 <br />5/26/99 <br />needed in this area, it is possible with existing mapping to visualize <br />three examples of possible long -term rural trail links tying town parks <br />and open space to those in rural areas: <br />• A North Chapel Hill /Rural Buffer corridor linking Booker Creek <br />Greenway, Northern Community Park, Duke Forest, New Hope <br />Creek (including TLC lands and Duke Forest) back to the New Hope <br />Creek Corridor and the Durham County line. <br />• A corridor in southwest/central Orange County linking the Haw <br />River, Cane Creek Reservoir, OWASA mitigation lands, Seven =Mile <br />Creek lands, Eno River and Duke Forest, Eno River Walk in <br />Hillsborough and the Eno River State Park. (A northern branch <br />along the Eno toward the new Hillsborough reservoir could be <br />added to this concept). <br />• A corridor in southern Orange linking Bolin Creek Greenway via <br />-Meadowmont and UNC to the UNC Botanical Garden to Jordan Lake <br />lands. <br />PIZ <br />
