MEMORANDUM <br /> TO: Board of County Commissioners <br /> FROM: Margaret W. Brown <br /> DATE: June 21, 1999 <br /> SUBJECT: Goal on Affordable Housing <br /> I offer the following recommendations for this goal: <br /> To include and insert in all the headings that the goal include the need to find long term <br /> affordability <br /> To instruct the County Attorney and Housing and Community Development Director to <br /> prepare a report, during the summer, to include the following items: <br /> • a process for evaluating affordable housing projects in terms of how they have <br /> achieved, for past projects, long term affordability <br /> • criteria which can be used by the County Commissioners in evaluating <br /> applications for sustaining long term affordability for new projects to include the <br /> following: <br /> • list of outcomes for accomplishing long term affordability <br /> ® list of outcomes expected from land trust and how land trusts impact long <br /> term affordability <br />
