• Additional revenue is budgeted in economic services for Justice <br /> Partnership Coordinator and Veterans' Services Officer. This will require <br /> each of these staff members to assume additional responsibilities resulting <br /> in them having less time committed solely to Justice and Veterans <br /> activities. <br /> • County funds in the amount of $50,000 for child care subsidy, previously <br /> committed by the Commissioners, have been eliminated resulting in 33 <br /> fewer children having the ability to utilize this funding to receive child care. <br /> Positions with Funding at Risk <br /> • School Social Workers — 8 Positions. These are 50% funded by Medicaid <br /> and 50% funded by the Orange County Schools system. Medicaid <br /> funding for this program is at risk. A moratorium is currently in place that <br /> allows this funding to continue until June 30, 2009. <br /> • Hospital Staff — 1 Full-time, 1 Part-time Position. UNC Hospital pays <br /> 100% of the non-federal share via a contract. <br /> • Justice Partnership — 1 Position. This position is funded through a <br /> combination of funds from Orange County, Chatham County, and a state <br /> grant. <br /> • Work First Demonstration Grant — 3 Positions.
