Denise Dickerson, Vice-Chair of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, said <br /> that when this camp was canceled in 2007, a survey was done on the impact that closing the <br /> camp may have caused. The key findings include that 31% of the sample did not attend a <br /> camp in 2008 and 82% of those said that it was due to the cost. She said that Sun Fun Camp <br /> was the most affordable alternative, and the replacement was the Parks and Recreation sports <br /> camp. The conclusion was that there should be some sort of low-cost camp alternative to Sun <br /> Fun Camp. <br /> Discussion ensued on the plans for the interviews in the morning, because of the <br /> weather. <br /> 8.
