He said that there is an equity <br /> issue. He supports paving this entire road. He has listened to both sides and has received <br /> emails and phone calls from citizens about this. UNC/Orange County Landfill Gas Recovery Agreement <br /> The Board considered discussion and decision on the proposed Agreement for the joint <br /> UNC/Orange County Landfill Gas Recovery Project. <br /> Assistant County Manager Gwen Harvey introduced this item and summarized the <br /> abstract. In January 2008, the BOCC authorized entering into a Memorandum of <br /> Understanding with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to ensure due diligence and <br /> anticipate effective implementation of a landfill gas recovery project. On April 15, 2008, the <br /> BOCC received a project update and request to proceed and authorized County staff to move <br /> forward with the final contract. The County retained a law firm to assist with the final <br /> negotiation of an agreement.
