We are delighted to let you know that the Board of Directors has <br />approved preliminary funding for Orange County Department of <br />Emergency Management Welcome to the World project You will receive <br />final approval once our plan has been approved by the North Carolina <br />Partnership for Young Children. Funds are contingent upon continuation <br />funding from the North Carolina General Assembly for SmartStart. <br />Your total award for FY 99/00 is $5,000.00. The final approval amount <br />differs from the request to the Partnership. Please resubmit your budget <br />and the abstract to us by May 14, 1999. <br />The grant period will run from July 1, 1999 through June 30, 2000. The <br />terms of this grant will be detailed in the Contract between Orange County <br />Department of Emergency Management and the Partnership that will be <br />sent to you under separate cover in June. You will also receive <br />information outlining all reporting requirements and details on requesting <br />funds for the coming year. <br />If you have any questions, you may call Michele Rivest, Executive Director <br />or Lois Kinzie, Parent Education Coordinator at 967-9091.
