I teach in the areas of property law, land use law, and state and local government law. Volunteer Experience: I have served on the OC Planning Board (from 2006-2009) but had resigned last year because of additional duties I was facing as Chair of the UNC Faculty Assembly. I'm now nearly one year into those responsibilities with only one year yet to go. I was concerned to see so many of the recent members of the OC Planning Board turn over in December 2008 (a majority of those who've served and worked on the comprehensive plan rotated off or had to resign). I think I could go back on the board this spring and help add some prior experience and expertise to the mix. Some members had suggested that I might be nominated to serve as Planning Board chair when Jay Bryan rotates off. I'd be willing to do that now that I'm nearly half-way through my other University obligations (which will end in spring 2010). Education: High School: Windsor, CT.
