An interlocal meeting has been
proposed for September 2, 1999, to discuss this issue.
On July 14, 1999, the Manager sent letters of inquiry (see attached) to Ed
Kerwin, Executive Director of OWASA, and Charlie Horne, County
Manager of Chatham County, to ascertain their jurisdictions' interests and
concerns relative to the Jordan Lake access issues and to the proposed
September 2 "d meeting. The response from Chatham County is attached.
The response from OWASA will be forthcoming on Friday, August 13", and
will be provided to the Board under separate cover. It is proposed that those
responses be discussed by the BOCC at August 17' meeting and again if
necessary at the August 31" work session.
