r " <br />• <br />Amended Center for 3 -12 Children Located in a <br />M Residence - A Day Ca ye child care Pfacility located on a public <br />publicly state maintained road, which provides 4ay child care for <br />than five (5) three (3) but , no <br />more than twelve (12) children, within a residence. <br />The following changes are recommended for Article 8. Special Uses of the <br />Zoning Ordinance. <br />8.8.16 Child Care Center Facility <br />�.. .�_ •iu- •� <br />Amended In addition to the information required by Articles 8.2 and 8.8, <br />1/.3/89 the following shall be submitted as part of the application: <br />a) Evidence that the minimum requirements to qualify for a <br />State of North Carolina day can: facility license have been <br />satisfied. <br />b) A floor plan of the proposed play -child can: facility, showing <br />the use and dimensions of each room and the location of <br />entrances and exits. <br />8.8.16.2 Standards of Evaluation <br />amended The following standards shall be used in deciding <br />113189 on an application for the use: <br />a) The day care facility is to be located in an area which is free <br />from conditions dangerous to the physical and moral welfare <br />of the children. <br />b) The minimum requirements to qualify for a State of North <br />Carolina day child care facility license are satisfied. . <br />c) There is direct access from the property on which the 49y <br />child care facility is to be located to a State - maintained road <br />or a private road approved by Orange County.. Where direct <br />access is to be provided to a 4ey child care facility from a <br />private road, the Board of Adjustment shall require the <br />upgrading of the private road to a higher classification, <br />based on the number of homes currently served by the road <br />and the projected traffic to be generated by the day care <br />
