REZONING REGUEST <br />PROPERTY OF ERNIE McBROOM <br />PROPERTY TO BE REZONED: <br />JUSTIFICATION: <br />Lot E, "Division of Property of Ernie McBr <br />shown on plat recorded in the Orange Count <br />in Plat Book 83 page 101. <br />029 <br />1. No error alleged. <br />2. The closing of private landfills and the decreasing capacity of the Orange <br />County Landfill has increased the need for a site where landscape debris <br />(stumps and tree limbs) can be processed and recycled. This use is <br />appropriate for the rural areas of the County and would be allowed under an <br />AS zoning designation. <br />3. This rezoning would locate a use supportive of horticultural and agricultural <br />activities in an area convenient to the supported uses. <br />4. This site is located near NC 86, on a collector road, and would be readily <br />accessible to emergency services. No need for other public services is <br />anticipated given the location and limited uses allowed under this Zoning <br />designation. <br />-► <br />
