An interlocal meeting has been
set for September 2, 1999, to discuss this issue.
On July 14, 1999, the Manager sent letters of inquiry (see attached) to Ed
Kerwin, Executive Director of OWASA, and Charlie Horne, County
Manager of Chatham County, to ascertain their jurisdictions' interests and
concerns relative to the Jordan Lake access issues and to the proposed
September 2nd meeting. The responses from OWASA and Chatham County
are attached. It is proposed that those responses be discussed by the BOCC
at the August 31st Board work session.
