<br /> <br />.. -- 6 <br />Page 2 <br />Every year, El Pueblo, Inc_ is proud to host La Fiesta del Pueblo, an annual weekend long festival to <br />`celebrate the Latino culture, sorts and heritage. This year La Fiesta del Pueblo '99 will take on <br />September 18`~ and 19'" at tlse Chapel Hill High School ~ ~ p~ <br />La Fiesta del Pueblo also provides nurmCroets eomrrnmity services to the residents of Orange County and <br />other otrtlying areas. Last year, the festival hosted a Job Fair, a Health Fair, and a wide variety of non profit <br />contmumity organizations disseminated information to tine festival-goers. The festival is awonderfnl. <br />opporti~ity for all residents, and especially the Latino community, to leant more about the community and <br />the services it offers. <br />We view La Fiesta del Pueblo as a community event. The participation of over 400 community residents, <br />inclndiag over 150 high school yotrths, as volunteers, and festival-goers of all ages, races and ethnic groups <br />am essential factors in the success of our festival. T a Fiesta del Pueblo is advetiised nationally, It is listed <br />in the Sotuhem Festivals magazine and has amraded state and national television coverage. 'This <br />recognitia~n, the tourism that it brixtgs, and services provided to the community ate beneficial to the entire <br />county and undying areas.
