NOTE TO BOCC RE: 9/7/99 C&D PRESENTATION <br />SUGGESTED PROCESS .FOR SPECIAL PRESENTATION ON <br />uPOTENTIAL C&D LANDFILL SITE EVALUATIONS" <br />^ Chair welcomes citizens and explains tonight's process <br />^ BOCC and. citizens aze very interested in learning about technical evaluations of the Eubanks <br />Road and Guess Road sites <br />^ after engineers' presentation, BOCC will ask questions of the consultants <br />^ we look forward to hearing citizens' oral comments at the: September 16 public hearing <br />^ in the meantime, citizens can submit written comments or questions on forms at the back of the <br />room to the Clerk <br />^ staff will pass those along to consultants, who will prepare written answers <br />^ copies of those questions and answers will be available at a table at the back. of the room at the <br />September 16 public hearing. <br />^ Manager briefly explains the C&D siting process, both historical perspective and upcoming <br />milestones <br />^ Gayle Wilson makes brief remazks and introduces the consultants from Joyce Engineering. <br />^ Joyce Engineering makes 15-20 minute presentation regazding their technical evaluations of the <br />two sites <br />^ BOCC asks questions/makes comments about consultants' reportlpresentation <br />^ Chair thanks citizens for coming, reiterates plans for the public hearing on September 16 <br />FYI <br />Copies of the written report from Joyce Engineering will be on file as of September 3 in the Clerk's <br />Office, at the Orange County Library on Tryon Street, and at the Chapel Hill Solid Waste Department. <br />Additionally, Gayle Wilson will bring about 200 copies of the report to the meeting on September 7 so <br />interested citizens can take a copy with them. <br />
