Staff was unable to address the impacts of the request by MANA Environmental, <br />Inc. (See Attachment I) prior to Agenda Review. The Manager has had a clarifying discussion with <br />Michael Neal and offers the following comments. <br />• First Citizens Bank has been sponsoring the Big Sweep Stream Cleanup for several years and provides <br />statewide coordination of the event and materials for the sweep, including collection bags, gloves, etc. <br />for volunteers. <br />• Michael Neal has volunteered to be the Orange County coordinator for Big Sweep and his company, <br />MANA Environmental, Inc., is also donating materials for the volunteers involved in the Big Sweep. <br />• Mr. Neal has indicated that he plans to attend the September 7 meeting and speak to this topic under <br />"Items Not on the Printed Agenda." <br />• After discussion with Mr. Neal, the Manager suggests the attached resolution for the BOCC's <br />consideration, with the inclusion of financial impact to the County. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Estimated at $400 - $500 for staff time, vehicle use and mileage and landfill <br />tipping fees. <br />
