The JPA could address the following issues: <br />a. Economic Development District Design Guidelines <br />b. Compatibility of residential and non-residential uses and rural <br />transition areas <br />c. Joint marketing of the area <br />d. Economic Development Incentives <br />D. Transportation Planning <br />1. Transportation plans and initiatives in the City-County area are part of a <br />regional program of traffic control and enhancement. <br />2. The JPA would address the following issues: <br />a. Regional representation on transportation committees on the <br />I85/I40 corridor <br />b. Transportation nodes for Park and Ride lots <br />c. Appropriate location of high traffic generation uses <br />d. State road planning and interconnectivity in the subregion <br />E. Natural Resource Preservation <br />1. .Natural resources are intrinsic to the environment that supports the high <br />quality of living standards expected in the City and County. <br />2. The JPA would address: <br />a. Watershed preservation <br />b. Conservation Areas <br />F. Public Services <br />1. The provision of public services can be greatly impacted by growth and <br />development. Sharing information, projecting needs, and gauging the <br />.impacts upon services will assist in providing cost and efficient and timely <br />services by both City and County governments to residents and <br />businesses. <br />a. .Schools <br />b.
