Mebane officials indicated a
willingness to pursue the concept of joint planning with Orange County. With. regard to a
moratorium, Mebane officials agreed to look at the proposed legislation; and there were
expressions made that a moratorium only on satellite annexations and only. until joint
planning was in place may be more acceptable than their understanding of the present
drafted legislation.
Discussion was concluded with the agreement that Mebane would respond to the
County letter within a week.
AREA CODE (919) 732-8181 • 968-4501 • 688-7331 • 227-2031 • FAX (919) 644-3004
