They did, however, express modest <br /> reservations over the possibility• of allowing for commercial development <br /> within the Rural Buffer (RB). <br /> As the program has been developed, commercial development on a farm <br /> located within the RB zoning district is not being proposed. <br /> 5) Throughout the months of October 2007 through February 2008 staff had <br /> been working on various Zoning Ordinance amendments to complete the <br /> implementation portion of the ASE program. The final ordinance amendment <br /> package is now being completed for distribution to the: <br /> a. BOCC, <br /> b. Manager's office, <br /> c. Attorneys office. <br /> d. Planning Board, <br /> e. Cooperative Extension, <br /> 1. Orange County Soil and Water, <br /> g. Towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro, and <br /> h. Town of Hillsborough (courtesy review) <br /> for final review and to solicit additional comments. It should be noted that <br /> formal presentation on the proposed implementation methodology for the <br /> ASE program was put on hold due to the submission of the Buckhorn Village <br /> Planned Development project. The proposed implementation strategies <br /> sought to comprehensively revise the existing Planned Development process, <br /> which could not be completed while a project was being reviewed under the <br /> current Ordinance requirements. <br /> ISSUE: <br /> This program was initially a multi-department effort led by EDC and ERCD, with input <br /> from the County Attorney's Office and Planning.
