7 <br /> 6. The building or other facility shall bear the name assigned to it by the Board <br /> from and after the date of the Board's approving action or such subsequent <br /> date as the Board of Commissioners may prescribe. <br /> 7. This policy and procedure does not apply to the naming of public streets, <br /> roads, alleys, and other similar thoroughfares. <br /> 8. Under unusual circumstances and for reasons satisfactory to the Board of <br /> Commissioners,the Board may name a County owned building or facility <br /> without following the procedures set forth herein. <br /> 9. Portions of a building, such as a meeting room or resource center, may bear <br /> the name of an individual or group subject to the procedures outlined above. <br /> 10. This policy shall not be construed as a mechanism for selling the name rights <br /> to county structures or facilities. <br />
