Donna Baker said that on Friday she will send out an updated list (probably electronically). She would like this returned by Monday or Tuesday. From that information, she will send another matrix with the meeting times, along with copies of the web calendar. The County Commissioners will then send back the main two and then other interests. This information will be compiled and sent back to the County Commissioners on Thursday as part of the agenda abstract. Commissioner Yuhasz said that at the retreat the County Commissioners talked about what to do to make the meetings run more smoothly. He said that it is not clear to him what was decided. He asked for information on this. He wants to know when the Board will talk about the things that it did not decide. Commissioner Yuhasz made reference to the Manager's Memo and the Orange Grove Volunteer Fire Company Safer Grant where Homeland Security is going to give the fire department money to hire people with a decreasing amount over time. He said that this is an agreement to set a higher tax rate in the future. Commissioner Jacobs said that this is one of the reasons he wants to complete the fire and rescue study because the fire department went ahead and did this and then told the County Commissioners. This is not how the County should operate. Commissioner Foushee made reference to the question about the retreat items and said that she and Commissioner Nelson asked the Manager to look at the schedule of proposed agenda items to determine at what work session the Board can discuss the remaining items of the agenda from the retreat. This will include the operational procedures. 6. Adjournment A motion was made by Commissioner Jacobs, seconded by Commissioner Gordon to adjourn the meeting at 10:06pm.
