39 <br /> 9.New solid waste disposal facilities, hazardous waste management facilities, salvage <br /> yards, and chemical storage facilities shall not be permitted in SFHAs. <br /> 10. A structure or tank for chemical or fuel storage incidental to an allowed use or to <br /> the operation of a water treatment plant or wastewater treatment facility may be <br /> located in a SFHA only if the structure or tank is either elevated or flood proofed <br /> to at least the regulatory flood protection elevation and certified according to <br /> Section 14.6(3) of this Ordinance. <br /> 11. Storage of the following chemical compounds shall be prohibited within SFHAs: <br /> a) Acetone, q) Acetylene gas, <br /> b) Ammonia, r) Gasoline and any <br /> c) Benzene, petroleum product, <br /> d) Calcium carbide, s) Lumber, <br /> e) Carbon disulfide, t) Charcoal or coal dust <br /> 0 Celluloid, u) Polychlorinated <br /> g) Chlorine, biphenyls (PCBs), <br /> h) Hydrochloric acid, v) Polynuclear aromatic <br /> i) Prussic acid, hydrocarbons (PAHs), <br /> j) Magnesium, w) Volatile organic <br /> k) Nitric acid, compounds (VOCs), or <br /> 1) Oxides of x) Anypriority pollutants <br /> nitrogen, listed in Table 1 of <br /> m) Phosphorus, Section 307 of the Clean <br /> n) Potassium, Water Act(P.L. 92-500), <br /> o) Sodium, as amended <br /> p) Sulfur, <br /> 12. Hospitals, nursing homes, foster care facilities, sheriff's facilities, fire stations, <br /> emergency operations centers, and vehicle and equipment storage facilities shall <br /> not be permitted in SFHAs. <br /> 13. Any inhabited structure within any SFHA shall have unobstructed, dry access <br /> during a regulatory flood event. <br /> 14. New fill material within any SFHA shall be prohibited. <br /> Sec.6.32.2 Specific standards. <br /> In all SFHAs where BFE data has been provided, as set forth in Section 4.2.38 or 21.9, the <br /> following provisions are required: <br /> 1.Residential Construction. New construction within the SFHA shall be prohibited. <br /> Substantial improvement of any existing residential structure (including <br /> manufactured homes) shall have the reference level, including basement, elevated <br /> no lower than two (2) feet above the regulatory flood protection elevation, as <br /> defined in Article 22 of this Ordinance.
