8
MEMORANDUM
TO: ANGELA THOMPSON-ROCKETT
CC: DONNA BAKER
FROM: JENNIFER GALASSI
DATE: JANUARY 12,2001
RE: RECOMMENDED APPOINTEES TO THE COMMISSION FOR WOMEN
The Orange County Commission for Women (CFW) held a meeting on Thursday,
January 8, 2009, and one of the actions taken by the CFW was to make recommendations for
appointment to the CFW. Thus, the CFW requested that applications of the following residents
be submitted to the Board of County Commissioners for their consideration: Sharon McDaniel
and Patricia Muhammad.
The Commission for Women is committed to increasing the diversity of Commission
members and committed to preserving a geographical balance of representation whenever
possible. In addition, all of the applicants have voiced an active interest in advocating for
women, improving the quality of life for women in Orange County and a willingness and ability
to attend the Commission's meetings and participate in its projects.
Please let me know if additional information is required or if clarification is needed in
regards to any information contained in this memo. Your assistance with this matter is
appreciated.
FP/jag
xc: Shoshannah Smith,Director
