Participate on the State Regions Advisory Committee <br />Tn keeping with these responsibilities, the Lead Regional Organization will <br />have the Following prerogatives: <br />1. Any state funds which may be appropriated for general purpose <br />regional planning will be administered through the designated Lead <br />Regional Organization. ' <br />2, A11 multi-jurisdictional planning and programs within the region, <br />unless exempted by state or federal law or poling, will be subject <br />to policy direction from the designated Lead Regional-Organization. <br />3. Much of the basis data gathering and analysis to undergrid each <br />regional program will be provided by the State. <br />Failure to perform the above tasks may result in the withdrawal or <br />reassignment of the Lead Regional Organization designation. <br />The above guidelines are recommended to the Secretary of the Department <br />of Administration on this the 28th day of October, 1971, by hie Adviavey <br />Committee on Regional Planning and Development. <br />There being no further business to Dome before the Board the meeting <br />wsa adjourned to meet again on Tuesday, September 19, 1972. <br />Henry S.. 'The Board of County Commissioners of Orange County met in regular session <br />in the Diatriat Courtroom of the Courthouse in Hillsborough, North Carolina, <br />on Tuesday, September l9, 1972 at 8 o~aloak P.M. <br />Members Present: Chairman Harvey D. Bennett and Commissioners William C. Ray, <br />Harry S. Walker, Ira A. Ward and C; Norman Walker. <br />Members Absent: None '~ <br />Chairman Bennett read a letter from the Orange County Planning Board I' <br />advising the Commissioners that the Planning Board had voted to reject ~ <br />the request of E. 0. Hardee to rezpne a five (5) errs treat from a residential <br />area to a mobile home park area. Said property is located near Calvander. <br />Commissioner lra A. Ward raised a question relative to the language used by <br />the Planning Board in their latter of rejection of the rezoning request. The ~ <br />Chairman directed the County Administrator to check with the Planning Board ' <br />relative to the wording of the letter and to advise the Board of hie Findings <br />at their next meeting. <br />The County Administrator presented a letter from the Area Real Estate <br />Office of the II. S. Army Corps. of Engineers. Said letter concerned the <br />removal of a cemetery located on the New Hope Lake project. Chairman Bennett <br />dtreated the County Administrator to provide the District Health Office with <br />a aapq of the letter. <br />rte--- <br />~' The County Administrator presented, for the approval of the Board, <br />- Amendment #1 to the Project Agreement formulated for the Lake Orange aedi:nent <br />atruaturea, This amendment adjusts the estimated cost of the sediment structure <br />from $16,100.00 to the actual bid.aost of $21,607.35. <br />~_ IIpon motion of Commissioner Ira A. Ward, seconded by Coxuatsaioner Henry S. <br />Walker, it was moved and adopted, that Chairman Bennett be authorized to sign <br />Amendment #l. <br />
