Participate on the State Regions Advisory Committee <br />In keeping with these responsibilities, the Lead Regional Organization will <br />have the following prerogatives: <br />1. Any state funds which may be appropriated for general purpose <br />regional planning will be administered through the designated Lead <br />Regional Organization. <br />2. All multi-jurisdictional planning and programs within the region, <br />unless exempted by state or federal law or policy, will be subject <br />to policy direction Prom the designated Lead Regional-Organization. <br />3. Mush of the basic data gathering and analysis to undergrid eaa2s <br />regional program will be provided by the State. <br />Failure to perform the above tasks may result is the withdrawal or <br />reassignment of the Lead Regional Organization designation. <br />The above guidelines are recommended to the Searatary of the Department <br />of Administration on this the 28th day of October, 1971, by his Advisory <br />Committee on Regional Planning and Development. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board the meeting <br />was adjourned to meet again on Tuesday, September 19, 1972. <br />Henry S.. Sennett and Commissioners William C. Ray, , <br />Henry S. Walker, Ira A. Ward and C. Norman Walker. i <br />Members Abaetat; None <br />i <br />Chairman Bennett read a letter Prom the Orange County Planning Board <br />advising the Commissioners that the Planning Board had voted to reject <br />the request of E. 0. Hardee to rezpne a five.(5) acre treat Prom a residential <br />area to a mobile home park area. Said property is located near Calvander. <br />Commissioner Ira A. Ward raised a question relative to the language used by <br />the Planning Board in their letter oP rejection of the rezoning request. The <br />Chairman directed the County Administrator to check with the Planning Board <br />relative to the wording of the letter and to advise the Board of his Findings <br />at their neat meeting. <br />The County Administrator presented a latter from the Area Real Estate <br />Office oP the V. S, Army Corps. aP Engineers. Said letter concerned the <br />removal of a aemstery located on the New Hope Lake project. Chairman Bennett <br />dtreated the County Administrator to provide the District Health Office with <br />a Dopy oP the letter. <br />J ~ The County Administrator presented, for the approval of the Board, <br />Amendment #1 to the Project Agreement formulated for the Lake Orange aedimant <br />atruoturea, This amendment adjusts the estimated coat of the aedimant atruoture <br />Prom $16,1OG.00 to the actual bid..aoat oP $21,607.36. <br />IIpon motion oP Gommisaioner Ira A. Ward, aeaonded by Commissioner Henry S. <br />Walker, it was moved sad adopted, that Chairman Bennett be authorized to sign <br />Amendment #1. <br />
