Ray, the following Resolution wee adopted: <br />"SJHEREAS, the Governor declared on May 11, 1971, that one <br />legally constituted organization will be designed as the LEAD <br />regional organisation in each of the 17 multi-county regions in <br />North Caroline; AND <br />WHEREAS, such LEAD regional organization will be expected to <br />provide leadership for effective regional planning and for program ' <br />implementations; AND ~ . <br />WHEREAS, such LEAD regional organization must be created by <br />gen®ral purpose local governments and must have its membership open <br />to all general purpose local governments within its region; AND ' <br />WHERF.4S, the Triangle J Council of Governments meets sll of <br />the above descriptions and stipulations; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITP RESOLVED that the governing body of the <br />(oounty) (city) of (name your county, city, town) joins with auoh <br />other municipalities and counties in this multi-county planning <br />region as may pass this resolution in support of the designation <br />of the Triangle J Council of Governments as the LEAD regional <br />organization in multi-county planning region S.° <br />nets: sept. 5, 1972 <br />A road petition for Hawthorne Road in Rollingwood was presented. Commissioner <br />Ira A, Ward moved that the Clerk forward same to the State Highway Commission. <br />A petition for Wava Road in Rolling Hi11s was presented. Commissioner William <br />C. Ray moved that same be approved and the Clerk forward same to the State <br />Highway Commission. <br />S. M.
