-:; '7 ; ~ ~. 4'78 <br />Chairman Bennett advised the Board that the appointment of Mrs. Vivian Fkimonds <br />to the Orange County Social Services Board had been approved by the State Department, <br />and that said term was effective from July 1, 1972, to June 30, 1976. <br />Chairman Bennett presented a letter from the Health Planning Council. Said <br />letter stated that the terms of George Watts Hill and Pearson Stewart on the Health <br />Planning Council had expired and that these two men were not eligible for re- <br />appointment. The letter recommended that the Board consider appointing 0. David <br />Garvin, Paul Alston and Dr. Vincent Koval. Dr. Aoval is being recommended to fill <br />the position left vacant by_Dr: William Cromartle. The Board deferred action on <br />these appointments. <br />Chairman ..Bennett presented a letter from Wake County Hospital System, lnc. <br />Said letter requested payment for eervicea rendered to an Orange County patient <br />who was being held by the North Carolina Correction Center for Woman. The County <br />Administrator was instructed to clarify the matter with the Sheriff~a Department. <br />Chairman Bennett recognized Willie Glover, Supervisor of the Farmers Bome <br />Administration. Mr. Glover presented the activity report for the fiscal year 1972 <br />relative to the mortgage loans that had been made in Orange County. <br />The County Administrator advised the Board that the Tex Department had <br />established that there were two non-existent tracts of land designated as tract <br />~~1294 property of John McDowell and tract X1$00 property of Lillie Parker on the <br />tax record. This property had been listed since 1961} and Mr. Gattia stated that <br />lee felt this error had occurred due to the Failure to pull the master card Prom <br />the files. Be requested authorization to release the two tracts from the penman®nt <br />tax records. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Henry S. Walker, aeaonded by Commissioner Norman <br />Walker, it was moved and adopted, that the Tax Supervisor be authorized to release <br />from the permanent tax reaorde tracts number 1294 and 1500. <br />Discussion ensued relative to the old age aasistanoe lien against the property <br />of Lillie Riley in Eno Township. The County Attorney was instructed that upon <br />the receipt of $3,750.00 h® was to draw a release deed for .the property of Lillie <br />Riley in Eno Township. <br />Chairman Bennett called for an Executive meeting of the Board at the conclusion <br />of the Board meeting. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board the meeting was <br />adjourned. <br />Harvey D.
