Proposed Fee Structure for a Senior Center SportsPlex Membership and Fee Increase <br /> for the Fitness Studio at Seymour Center <br /> The Board approved a new Sportsplex Central Orange Senior participant rate and the new <br /> Seymour Center Fitness Studio fee and operation hours, effective January 1, 2009. <br /> d. Examination of Bonds <br /> The Board maintained the bonds at their present level for officials pursuant to G.S. 58-72- <br /> 20. <br /> e. Authorization to Submit Grant Application to N.C. Agricultural Development and <br /> Farmland Preservation Trust Fund — Breeze Farm Conservation Easement <br /> The Board authorized staff to submit the application for a grant from the North Carolina <br /> Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund for a Breeze Farm <br /> Conservation Easement by the December 5 deadline. <br /> f. RFP Award: Graphic Design, Cartography and Production of a Map of Bicycle Routes <br /> in Orange County <br /> The Board awarded RFP 5147 to R+M, Inc. of Cary, NC at a total cost of $42,000 to design <br /> and produce 20,000 maps; awarded RFP 5146 to Simpson Maps of Concord, NC for a total of <br /> $8,000 for the cartography associated with the map; and authorized the Purchasing Director to <br /> execute the necessary paperwork. <br /> Cabe Crossing Subdivision — Preliminary Plat Modification and Re-approval <br /> The Board approved the Preliminary Plat for Cabe Crossing Subdivision in accordance with <br /> the parkland dedication and plat size modifications noted and the attached Resolution of <br /> Approval, subject to the $9,100 payment-in-lieu-of-dedication fee. <br /> VOTE ON CONSENT AGENDA: UNANIMOUS <br /> 5. Public Hearings <br /> a. Educational Facilities Impact Fee — Public Hearing <br /> The Board considered conducting a public hearing on the draft reports prepared by <br /> TischlerBise, Inc., which calculate the maximum supportable impact fee for new residential <br /> units in each of the two school districts and direct staff to bring back amendments to and <br /> effective date of the Educational Facilities Impact Fee Ordinance for adoption/consideration at <br /> the December 11, 2008 regular Board meeting. <br /> Perdita Holtz from the Planning Department introduced this item. She said that last <br /> year the County entered into a contract with TischlerBise to update the Educational Facilities <br /> Impact Fee. This has come before the Board and the school boards a few times.
