I feel a
deep connection with the history and people of North Carolina, since I have visited the
state every year with my family since I was a little boy. Moreover, I have a long-standing
love for Orange County as my father attended Duke and I now attend UNC. I have
immersed myself in history books about Orange County, and have visited numerous
historic sites in Hillsborough, Chapel Hill and Carrboro. I appreciate and understand the
importance of historical preservation and believe my academic background and
experiences abroad have provided me with a solid foundation on which I will be able to
serve the greater good of the community. I would be honored to serve on the committee
and look forward to future contact. STAFF COMMENTS: Originally applied for Historic
