Mr. Dowling stated they usually were told each spring what that funding <br /> would be, and it had been the same for the last five years. He said based on what he had been <br /> told that funding would stay the same through 2012. <br /> Commissioner Hallman stated the Task Force had approached this from a non-political <br /> viewpoint, and the reality was that if they did not do something soon then they were facing a <br /> collapse of the program. <br /> Alderman Gist suggested that at the next Assembly of Governments meeting that the each <br /> elected body report on the progress they had made in the interim, and if they were not approving <br /> payment-in-lieu that they report on what they were doing. <br /> Alderman Haven-O'Donnell asked that Affordable Housing be moved up on the agenda so that <br /> the time for discussion was not constrained by it being taken up late in the evening. <br /> Mayor Stevens stated for the next Assembly of Governments,he believed affordable housing and <br /> economic development should be the two primary issues.
