2 <br /> The system is designed to provide a state of the art presentation capability for staff training, <br /> department meetings, advisory board meetings, and other uses consistent with the County's <br /> Facilities Use Policy. The system will include: <br /> • A wide-screen projection system with motorized screen and ceiling mounted LCD <br /> projector. <br /> • A hardwood lectern with microphone, wireless keyboard/mouse, laptop port, and Smart <br /> Board annotation system. <br /> • Built in computer and high definition DVD player, plus multiple laptop ports at strategically <br /> located floor boxes. <br /> • Sound reinforcement system to amplify lectern microphone, wireless lavalier and hand <br /> held microphones, and table microphones for panel discussions and committee <br /> meetings. <br /> • Audio teleconference capability. <br /> • Digital audio recording capability for transcription and archiving. <br /> • Touch panel control system, for ease of operation with minimal training. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: The cost of the equipment, installation and training is $47,978. Funds for <br /> this system were budgeted and are available in the Solid Waste Management FY 2008/09 <br /> budget. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board authorize the acquisition and <br /> installation of audio/video equipment in the training/meeting room at the new Solid Waste <br /> Operations Center from KONTEK Systems, Inc. at a cost of $47,978 and authorize the <br /> Purchasing Director to issue the necessary paperwork. <br />
