<br /> <br />.! <br />PAGE 1 <br />APPROVED 10/2/89 MINUTES <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 15, 1989 <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on August 15, 1989 <br />in the Courtroom of the old Post Office in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. <br />$Qg~ ~ PRESENT: Chairman Hoses Carey, Jr., and Commissioners Stephen <br />Halkiotis, John Hartwell, Shirley E. Marshall and Don Willhoit. <br />~;TORNEY PRESENT: Geoffrey Gledhill <br />~~ PRESENTS County Manager John M. Link, 3r., Assistant County Manager Albert <br />Kittrell, Deputy Clerk to the Board Rathy Baker, Clerk to the Board Beverly Blythe, <br />Planning Director Marvfn Collins, Housing snd Cauommxnity Development Director Tara Fikes, <br />Animal Control Director Elma Johnaon, Economic Development Director Sylvia Price, Health <br />Director Dan Reimer, Land Records Manager Roscoe Reeve and EMS Director Nick Waters. <br />A. $QARD ~ MANAGERS COH[iSNTS <br /> <br />Chairman Moses Carey announced that a Special Meeting has bean scheduled for August <br />21, at 7:00 p.m, in District Courtroom with the Town of Hillsborough for the purpose of <br />discussing the reservoir issue. Another meeting will be held on August 31, 1989 at 6:00 <br />at the Colonial Ina with the Rural Character Study Consultant, the Rural Character <br />Committee and the Planning Board. <br />Item D - Resolutions and Proclamations vas moved up on the agenda to be considered <br />after the Public Charge and items G1 and G2 will be considered immediately following the <br />public hearing on McLsnnan's Farm. <br />B. BLIC COMMENTS <br />1. Matters on the Printed Agenda <br />Those citizens who have signed up to speak will be recognized at th® appropriate <br />time when their item is discussed. <br />2. Matters not on the Printed Agenda <br />None <br />C. MINUTES <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by Commissioner Halkiotis to <br />approve the minutes for the June 14, 1989 budget public hearing as circulated. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br />The minutes for the June 28th meeting will be considered at the next meeting. <br />PUBLIC CHARGE <br />Chairman Moses Carey xead the Public Charge. <br />PU.
