ITEMS FOR DECISION - CONSENT.AGENDA <br />2 Motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner <br />3 Halkiotis to approve all those items on the Consent Agenda as stated below <br />4 except item "C". <br />A. ORDINANCE AMENDING A FRANCHISE TO CABLEVISION OF DURHAM INC. TO <br />CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN A CABLE TELEVISION SYSTEM WITHIN THE <br />UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br />The Board approved the second reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING A <br />FRANCHISE TO CABLEVISION OF DURHAM TO CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN A CABLE <br />TELEVISION SYSTEM WITHIN THE UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF ORDANGE COUNTY, NORTH <br />CAROLINA. The amendment stipulates that Cablevision of Durham, Inc. will <br />actively market a multichannel satellite system "Primestar" in an area <br />excluded from the franchise area by the ordinance amendment. This ordinance <br />amending a franchise to Cablevision of Durham is in the Ordinance Book in the <br />Clerk's office. ! r / R p ~J <br />/~ B. APPOINTMENT AND/ORIENTATION PROCESS FOR BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />The Board approved a resolution which sets forth the procedure for <br />making. appointments to the various boards and commissions on which the Board <br />makes appointments and a process for an orientation .program for all new <br />appointees. This resolution is attached to these minutes on pages <br />and is in the Board of Commissioners' policy and procedure <br />manual as #~. <br />~9a <br />C. SPOON LAKE - PRELIMINARY PLAN - Moved- to VIII-C for separate <br />consideration. <br />D. FOX HILL FARM PHASE ONE SECTION B - PRELIMINARY PLAN <br />The Board approved the Preliminary Plan for Fox Hill Farm Phase <br />One, Section B subject to the conditions contained in the Resolution of <br />approval attached to these minutes on pages This property is <br />located along the Eno and Hillsborough Township line on the south side of <br />Miller road (SR 1555). Most of the tract is in Hillsborough Township and <br />zoned Agricultural Residential. The total acreage of the subdivision is <br />approximately 47.73 acres. Eighteen (18} new residential lots are proposed. <br />The average lot size is 2.49 acres. All lots will be served by individual <br />wells and individual septic tanks. <br />E. Z-1-92 LAWTON CABINET COMPANY - ZONING ATLAS AMENDMENT - <br />The, Board approved a Zoning Atlas amendment in Bingham Township <br />which corrects an error with regard to the location of the Existing <br />Commercial-5 zoning lot and the actual location of the cabinet shop. The <br />existing shop is on the south side of Old Greensboro Road between Ferguson <br />Road and Ivey Road. In 1981, the EC-5 lot was drawn incorrectly on the <br />Zoning Atlas. The cabinet shop is located on the central and eastern <br />portions of a 4-acre tract. This lot will be shifted by approximately 245 <br />feet to the east to include the existing cabinet shop, office, driveway and <br />parking. <br />VOTE ON THE CONSENT AGENDA: UNANIMOUS <br />
