Q ~~ <br />MEETING DATE: September 18. 1990 NUMBER: A:0430 <br />EFFECTIVE DATE: September 1L 1990 REVISIONS: March 20, 1991 <br />August 4, 1993 <br />POLICY• <br />PROCEDURE FOR LOCAL TRAVEL EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT <br />Upon adoption of amendment to Policy 430 on August 4, 1993, <br />monthly local travel expense allowance will be increased to $90.00 <br />for the Chair and to $65.00 for other members of the Board of <br />Commissioners. <br />Original Policy: <br />County Commissioners may receive $50 per month for local travel, <br />and the Chairman may receive $75 per month. Each Commissioner <br />will have an opportunity at the beginning of each fiscal year to <br />elect to be reimbursed based on submission of periodic local <br />travel expense reimbursement requests or receive a set amount each <br />month. Out-of-area travel (greater than 30 miles from Orange <br />County) would continue to be handled as it currently is handled by <br />the Finance Department. <br />• <br />Amendment: <br />Upon adoption of amendment on March 20, 1991, the term local <br />travel is designated to refer only to personal mileage. <br />• <br />
