V Y~ ~ /r <br />.~ ~ ~`~~ <br />POLICY FOR INSERTION INTO THE POLICY MANUAL <br />MEETING DATE: October 6, 1998 <br />EFFECTIVE DATE: October 6, 1998 <br />NUMBER: A:0430 <br />REVI5ION5: March 20, 1991 <br />August 4, 1993 <br />October 6, 1998 <br />POLICY: PROCEDURE FOR LOCAL TRAVEL EXPENSE REIlVIBURSEMENT <br />Upon adoption of amendment to Policy 430 on October 6, 1998, monthly loca travel <br />expense allowance will be increased to $120 per month for the Chair and $9~per month <br />for other members of the Board of Commissioners. <br />Original Policy: <br />County Commissioners may receive $50 per month for local travel, and the Chairman <br />may receive $75 per month. Each Commissioner will have an opportunity at the <br />beginning of each fiscal year to elect to be reimbursed based on submission of periodic <br />. local travel expense reimbursement requests or receive a set amount each month. Out-of- <br />area travel (greater than 30 miles from Orange County) would continue to be handled as <br />it currently is handled by the finance Department. <br />Amendment: <br />Upon adoption of amendment on March 20, 1991, the term local travel is designated to <br />refer only to personal mileage. <br />Amendment: <br />Upon adoption of amendment on August 4, 1993, monthly local travel expense allowance <br />increased to $90.00 for the Chair and $65.00 for other members of the Board of <br />Commissioners. <br />C~ <br />
