~~ <br /> <br />~~ <br />POLICY FOR INSERTION INTO THE POLICY MANUAL <br />MEETING DATE• <br />EFFECTIVE DATE: <br />Auaust 18, 1987 <br />Auqust 18, 1987 <br />NUMBER• 0270 <br />REVISIONS• <br />POLICY: <br />WATER/SEWER EXTENSIONS OUTSIDE OF APPROVED SERVICE AREAS <br />That Orange County immediately establish as a matter of policy that <br />it will not approve any development project to be supplied with <br />water and/or sewer unless located in a water/sewer service district <br />incorporated into the Land Use Plan and appropriate ordinances, <br />following public hearing and citizen comment. <br />That, except in emergency situations, Orange County neither fund <br />nor support extensions of public or private .water/sewer services <br />outside services areas adopted as part of the Land Use Plan. <br />Furthermore, where County funds are used, in whole or in part, to <br />finance extensions of such services, it shall retain some authority <br />to determine the disposition of utility services provided. <br />-~ <br />
